QUALIFICATIONS


DAV COIL is an UNI EN ISO 9001 certified company and for the management of special processes, such as welding, the company is also UNI EN ISO 3834-2 (formerly EN729-2) certified which guarantees the quality of products. All business processes, from design to production, are standardized to guarantee excellent executions. All raw materials and filler materials are traceable to allow complete identification of the finished product.

DESIGN CODES

DAV COIL designs by making use of dedicated software for the realization of heat exchangers according to different design standards:

  • UNI EN 13445 - Pressure vessels not exposed to flame
  • UNI EN 12952 - Water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations.
  • UNI EN 1993-1-4 Design of steel structures.
  • ASME VIII Div.1 and Div.2 - Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME BPVC)

CAD DESIGN

Design makes use of 3D modeling, finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.

WELDING

DAV COIL is certified according to UNI EN ISO 3834-2 and has welding procedures (TIG, MAG, Electrode, Oxyacetylene and Laser) in accordance with UNI EN ISO 15614-1 / UNI EN ISO 15614-8 / UNI EN ISO 15614-11 / UNI EN ISO 15613 and ASME IX.
Welders and welding operators are certified according to UNI EN ISO 9606-1 / UNI EN ISO 14732 and ASME IX.
Welding coordinators (IWE - International Welding Engineer) are available.
Visual (VT according to UNI EN ISO 17637) and Penetrating Liquids (PT according to UNI EN ISO 3452-1) CND checks are carried out in-house by UNI EN ISO 9712 level 2 certified operators. In the case of other nondestructive/destructive testing we use EN or ASME certified external laboratories.

WELDING PROCEDURE QUALIFICATION RECORD
Welding procedures are qualified according to: UNI EN ISO 15614-1, UNI EN ISO 15614-8, UNI EN ISO 15614-11, UNI EN ISO 15613 and ASME IX.

WELDERS AND WELDING OPERATORS
Welders are qualified according to UNI EN ISO 9606, UNI EN ISO 14732 and ASME IX.

NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OPERATORS (NDT)
Non-destructive testing is done according to the standards: UNI EN ISO 9712, UNI EN ISO 17637, UNI EN ISO 3452-1, ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
For other nondestructive and destructive testing we rely on certified external laboratories.

 

 

EUROPEAN FEDERATION FOR WELDING JOINING AND CUTTING

EWF

EWF provides training guidelines that cover all professional levels in welding technology and related areas, such as Thermal Spraying, Adhesive Bonding, Plastics Welding and Underwater Welding. The EWF system is recognized worldwide and an agreement was established with IIW (International Institute of Welding) for the development of an international system based on the EWF Education, Training and Qualification Guidelines and Rules. Supports companies seeking to achieve compliance with ISO 14731 (Welding Coordination) as example. EWF "Special Courses" are shorter and very specific for a certain welding area to address the actual industry needs.

IIS

IIS CERT

IIS CERT is a Notified Body in Brussels with number NB 0475. As a Certification Body, IIS CERT operates with accreditations from the National Accreditation Body ACCREDIA and with authorizations from the European Welding Federation (EWF), the International Institute of Welding (IlW), as well as the National Agency for Rail Safety (ANSF). Furthermore, IIS CERT is the reference partner of the CEC (European Certification Consortium), through which it carries out product conformity assessment activities pursuant to the PED, TPED and ATEX Directives, as well as periodic checks on equipment in service pursuant to the legislation in force in subject to their safe use.

MARKING CERTIFICATE CE

C.E.C.

Certification is the formal attestation or confirmation of certain characteristics of an object, person, or organization. This confirmation is usually provided by an audit. The independent subjects who can issue the certification are recognized (accredited) under an international system (IAF) which allows the issued certificate to have international validity. In Italy, persons qualified to operate in the IAF system are accredited by ACCREDIA. Among the subjects accredited for the issue of certifications, for example, ISO 9001 and ISO 3834, C.EC. (ACCREDIA accreditation n ° 1131) is characterized both by its strong technical-scientific competence, which allows it to provide real added value to certified companies, and for the streamlined organizational structure, optimal in order to promptly respond to the specific needs of each customer.

IIW

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF WELDING

The Italian Institute of Welding, founded in 1948 in Genoa, is a founding member of two very important international organizations for the world of welding: International Institute of Welding (IIW) and European Welding Federation (EWF). In them converge, respectively, 59 national welding institutes from many countries of the world and 32 national welding institutes at European level. These organizations play a fundamental role in the processes of spreading knowledge in the field of welding and related disciplines. In addition, they work for the harmonization of the rules and qualification schemes available for personnel, for procedures and for personnel management systems that apply to the world of welded manufacturing. Within both organizations, IIS has always held top positions. It presides or participates in various national and international committees and working groups for standardization and research. This active participation of the Italian Institute of Welding in these organizations results in an intense international activity that generates contacts and synergies with its counterparts in the more developed countries.

The DAV COIL Company, was founded in 1969 as a Craft Company by the initiative of Giovanni Zancanaro. After more than 50 years of activity it still produces high quality and reliable heat exchangers.
