DAV ICE
DAV ICE is a family of exchangers designed to be used as cold storage battery. Made with specific materials and geometries, the coils are injected with refrigerant gases and immersed in water to create circular ice crowns around the pipes. Ice can be made at night or during off-peak hours when electricity is in low demand and cheaper, and then used at peak demands. This means the installation of lower power refrigerating machines which will have lower purchase, use and maintenance costs. Typical applications of DAV ICE are production processes and large conditioning systems DAV ICE exchangers can be manufactured by means of tubes or pillow plates.
