Cross-flow tube heat exchangers [CFTHE] are designed for systems that require heat to be transferred between two gases without them coming into contact.
Compared to cross-flow plate heat exchangers, in the CFTHE, thermal energy is exchanged through bare tubes, usually made of stainless steel of various diameters and thicknesses depending on the required performance.
In the DAV GASY the tubes are coupled to tube plates by welding to ensure 100% tightness
The tubes are also easy to clean, either manually or with automatic systems.
DAV GASY is therefore the ideal solution for pre-heating air or other gases by recovering thermal energy from the exhaust fumes of boilers, engines, turbines and heavy industry in general.
By varying the length of the tubes and the number of passages through the tubes, an efficiency level of up to 80% can be achieved.
